The Haskins Company was founded in 1948 as a steel fabrication shop by Roy and Connie Haskins and has been a locally owned and family operated company since that time. In 1950, the company constructed its first grain storage tank for Almira Farmers Warehouse Company. This project started the Haskins Company down a new avenue of business.

Through the early 1950s the business grew rapidly and in 1955 a second company called Haskins Steel Co., Inc. was formed. The Haskins Company continued to perform the construction aspects of the business while the Steel Company became the steel fabrication division.

As the need for new grain storage began to lessen in the mid-1950s, The Haskins Company began to move into the construction of commercial buildings. At first, it specialized in the construction of all steel commercial buildings. Eventually The Haskins Company began constructing concrete block, concrete tilt-up and wood frame buildings.

The Haskins Company has built a reputation for quality construction that is finished on time and within budget. In order to have better control of quality and scheduling, The Haskins Company has built our own in-house design team and field construction crews consisting of concrete, steel erection, millwright and finish carpentry crews. Additionally, we have our own fleet of trucks, pickups and cranes.

Since our beginning, we have specialized in the construction of steel buildings, commercial grain elevators, fertilizer plants and concrete tilt-up buildings. To date we have constructed over 1,100 buildings, 1,800 storage tanks and 25 fertilizer plants.

Because of The Haskins Company's vast employee experience and resources, we are able to construct not only pre-manufactured buildings, but also custom designed buildings and machinery to meet the needs of each individual customer.
